RIBBONS Short Film

Lucy is a studious high school junior who dreams of attending the Sadie Hawkins dance with Tomás, a classmate who keeps to himself and sits behind her in Spanish class. After devising a way to get his attention, the two strike up a flirtatious friendship, setting off a chain of events that inspire Lucy to finally take the leap — but just when she thinks the hardest part is over, things take an unexpected, and mortifying, turn.
With a predominantly female and Latinx cast and crew, Ribbons strives to be a reminder that even in a time of uncertainty and division, one thing can always be counted upon: the all-consuming, often embarrassing, and (usually) fleeting love that most, if not all of us, experience as teenagers. Directed by Maarcela Cantu. Produced by Laura Lilia Torres, filmed in Brownsville Texas.

Morvious Music Video

This is a music video for the Dallas based band Morvious. After 15 years of performing original music the band was ready to make their music video debut and so we developed a story they wanted into this high energy music video. They chose to use a variety of our services for the creation of the video including script, casting, set design, filming editing, taking the project completely from script to screen.
The Long Run - Short Film

THE LONG RUN is a bilingual short film that explores the spill over crime and the effects of the war on drugs affecting the youth of border town Brownsville, Texas. It’s an independent 5 minute short film in the festival circuit.
Co-directed by Laura Lilia Treviño & David Garcia. 2010.
